Yup. I've looked at Boston Metals (from a distance via publicly available information, not up close and personal). Fortescue is doing something similar with direct reduction using electricity as well.

Given multiple pathways to actually green iron and steel, I'm comfortable that we'll address this issue. Of course, it will require pricing carbon, but the UE carbon border adjustment mechanism which kicks in in earnest in 2026 and China's expanding cap & trade system will help a lot with that.
