The US government is not well aligned with the world. In Canada, the federal government’s assistance to the oil and gas industry came in the form of $1.7 billion to clean up abandoned oil wells, which means it isn’t going to O&G companies but to municipalities, researchers and firms doing remediation of O&G damage.

That the Trump administration is poorly aligned with reality is unsurprising.

And repeating one’s self is part of communication strategy. It takes up to seven repetitions before things sink in for many people, even if they aren’t actively fighting to prevent their own understanding.
