Temperature management. 60% efficiency round trip. Lots more going on that there appears to be. Moderately short storage due to requirement to keep the storage chilled to -196 degrees, which means a serious energy draw for that. Then heating at the end to gasify the liquid and get the energy out.

I'm sure it will be used somewhere where there is lots of waste heat for the return trip, but I don't rate it as a storage mechanism compared to alternatives.
