Shrug. They've been buying power plants — full wind farms and solar farms — for over a decade via power purchase agreements and virtual power purchase agreements. This is just another type of low-carbon electricity.

I suspect it's going to end poorly for them, but it's very distinctly a small side bet compared to the rest of their power acquisitions.

Feel free to do your part by foregoing the internet, Zoom, social media, banking, Amazon, Ubereats, etc. Data centers provide extraordinary services for modern life incredibly efficiently.

As always, who benefits by having you focusing on efficient electricity users instead of fossil fuel burning transportation, electrical generation, building heat and industrial heat?
