To your first point, yeah, there's a lot I don't know, but I do know more than your average bear. Not having kids, not following major league sports and a lifetime of continuing to learn new things instead leads to knowing a lot.

And regarding the politics aspect, I'm fully aware of that. It doesn't mean that a call to action about what should be easy isn't a useful rhetorical device. ;)
