All very nice. Peterson apologists are a dime a dozen, and you didn’t even clear the low bar of not mentioning his videos (don’t feel bad, you are among dozens who can’t help it mentioning them).

I’m glad you find value in his work. As I’ve written elsewhere, anything that helps a person on their journey is good, and almost anything can if approached with the right mindset, including fortune cookies, Tarot cards and, of course, Peterson.

But please stop apologizing for his stupidities. Defend the parts of his work that you find actually valuable instead of all the nonsense he tosses off around those parts. As I’ve also said elsewhere, some of his rules are very reasonable, if extraordinarily banal in the context of the self-help genre.

He’s just a flawed individual who has strayed far outside the portion of his life where he’s actually credible and has expertise. Accept his flaws, but don’t embrace them.
